RN - First Assist (Cert), Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Perform first assisting roles interdependently with the surgeon, including maintaining hemostasis and supporting intraoperative procedures.
• Assist with room setup and teardown to facilitate patient flow.
• Support intraoperative technical functions such as applying local anesthetics and controlling bleeding.
• Operate within state laws and nursing practice acts, ensuring safe and optimal surgical outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current NV nursing license and OR certification (CNOR) from AORN.
• CRNFA or RNAS-C certification, with ongoing currency for employment.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (if applicable).
• Experienced in assisting with surgical procedures and maintaining high standards of patient care.
