About the role

This Registered Nurse - First Assist role involves providing intraoperative assistance within the Operating Room, functioning interdependently with surgeons to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining hemostasis
• Aiding with surgical setup and cleanup
• Administering local anesthesia as needed

Qualifications

• A current NV license
• OR certification (CNOR) from AORN
• CRNFA or RNAS-C certification, with ongoing currency
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Obstetrical areas may require NRP certification

Skills

• Technical proficiency in surgical assisting
• Knowledge of state laws and nursing practice acts
• The ability to work effectively within a team
