RN - Critical Care - Nights

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical ICU provides compassionate, safe nursing care to diverse patient populations, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Develops and evaluates individualized care plans, conducts patient assessments, communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, and documents all care activities. Provides patient education tailored to cultural and learning needs, supports professional development of colleagues, and fosters a supportive environment. Assists with technical procedures such as injections, venipuncture, and medication administration. Participates in performance improvement and research activities, monitors wound and skin care when skilled, and ensures HIPAA compliance. May assist with patient transport. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, an active Illinois RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and at least one year of inpatient nursing experience. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, ICU or ER experience, Wound/Ostomy certifications, and specialized nursing experience.
