RN - Critical Care - Nights

Position: Registered Nurse PCCU - Medical ICU (Open Heart Surgery and Neurosurgery Pods) Location: Elmhurst, IL Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, and revise individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Perform patient assessments, collect health data, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.Educate patients and families tailored to their cultural background and learning needs, and connect them with community resources.Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to professional development, and support clinical education.Provide psychological support, assist with technical procedures, and participate in performance improvement and research activities.Monitor wound, ostomy, and skin care treatments, and assist with patient transport as needed. Qualifications Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s required within five years if Associate Degree held)Active Illinois RN licenseACLS and BLS certificationsOne year of inpatient nursing experience Preferred Skills Bachelor’s Degree or higher in NursingExperience in ICU, ER, radiology, or wound/ostomy careCertifications such as CWON or CWCN are a plus Additional Details: The role involves developing and implementing patient-centered care, communicating with healthcare teams, supporting patient education, and participating in quality improvement activities.
