Responsibilities
- Clinically coordinates activities with other team members in planning and implementing care as directed by the house supervisor or with independent initiative.
- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations, participating in clinical and process improvement projects, pilots and implementation as well as independently perform quality related clinical and EMR audits as needed.
- Demonstrates initiative and ability to role model and coach nurses and other team members on nursing practice, skill development, and FOCUS values.
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and excellent time management to respond to patient and staff needs to ensure optimal hospital operations.
- Demonstrates peer to peer leadership by supporting change management, being a resource or superuser as requested or assigned, participating in nursing activities such as staff meetings, nursing councils or organizational committees and supporting organization strategies and goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. (Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire date)
- Work Experience: Five (5) or more years of RN experienceRN experience in medical/surgical nursingPrecepting nurses new to nursing and/or unit
Skills
Knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking, delegation, and patient education.

Schedule
The schedule is 9:00 am - 9:00 pm, for 72 hours per pay period. There is a holiday and a every third weekend rotation.
