About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Clinical Support Nurse team based at the Western Isles Hospital. The team consists of 9 qualified ANPs, 3 trainee ANPs, and 2 HCAs. The service presently covers hospital at night and also oversees bed management and provides clinical support alongside the medical team during the daytime.
Requirements
- Completed an NHS Western Isles approved advanced clinical assessment and history taking module at degree level
- Registered with the NMC as a non-medical prescriber (V300)
- Significant experience working in the acute care setting at advanced practice level
- Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible, team-oriented approach
- Ability to work well both as a lone practitioner and collaboratively alongside wider clinical teams
Experience of bed management and operational management of acute areas is desirable.
Pay
£52,845 - £61,466 per annum plus £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance per annum.
Schedule
36 hours per week. Fixed term or secondment for 12 months. Applications on a secondment basis will be considered providing you have prior agreement from your current line manager.
Additional Information
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
