Clinical Support Nurse RN

About the role

Midwest Health is looking for a Clinical Support RN who serves as a primary clinical responder and escalation resource, providing real-time guidance, clinical decision‑making, and care coordination to assist communities and provide support as needed. This person will work with the Executive Directors and RCCs (Resident Care Coordinator).

Responsibilities

• Perform real‑time guidance as part of quality assurance and respond to incoming calls and alerts
• Manage and document complex clinical situations (falls, change in condition, behaviors)
• Advise on appropriate level of care and recommend for resident interventions
• Communicate with physicians, families, and staff
• Document interactions in EMR or other software
• Review, assess, educate, and provide guidance on sentinel events and participate in the QAPI program

Requirements

• Compact/multistate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
