About the role

The RN-Clinic/Call Center is responsible for provision and management of patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. They deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation and work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Accurately and efficiently triages the telephone calls that are received from patients, their caregiver, relatives and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Prioritizes patients’ health problems according to their urgency.
  • Edicates/advises patients.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Makes safe, effective clinical decisions under the direction of the patients’ physician.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
    • Required: Degree from an accredited school of professional nursing. A minimum of one year clinical experience.
    • Preferred: Current Alabama RN license.
  • Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
    • Required: Current Alabama RN license.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.
  • Math & bookkeeping skills.
  • Exceptional telephone & customer service skills.
