RN-Clinic Nurse/Call Center - Support Services

About the role

The RN-Clinic/Call Center is responsible for provision and management of patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. They deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation and work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Accurately and efficiently triage the telephone calls that are received from patients, their caregiver, relatives and other members of the healthcare team.
• Prioritize patients’ health problems according to their urgency.
• Provide education and advice to patients.
• Schedule appointments.
• Made safe, effective clinical decisions under the direction of the patients’ physician.

Requirements

• Education and Experience:
• Required: Degree from an accredited school of professional nursing. A minimum of one year clinical experience.
• Preferred: License, Certification and/or Registration: Required: Current Alabama RN license.
• Position Requirements:
• Must attend all required course work assigned by management.
• Must possess basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.
• Must be able to perform math & bookkeeping skills.
• Must possess excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Must be self-directed / self-motivated; must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Must accept responsibility for one’s own work.
• Must work independently.
• Must be able to recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality.
• Must convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and/or grief.

Qualifications

• License, Certification and/or Registration: Required: Current Alabama RN license.
