About the role
The position is located at Avondale Business Center and operates on a Monday-Friday Day Shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Train new individuals within their area of supervision for all required functions, work progress, and operations.
- Evaluate and assess competencies of supervised staff.
- Guide all staff and complete all activities described below.
- Provision and manage patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations.
- Deliver care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Accurately and efficiently triage telephone calls from patients, their caregivers, relatives, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Prioritize patients' health problems based on urgency.
- Provide education and advice to patients.
- Schedule appointments for patients.
- Made safe, effective clinical decisions under the direction of the patients' physician.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree in Nursing and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.
- Licenses, Certifications and Registrations: Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Current Cardiopulmonary Respiration (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days.
