The Ambulatory Telephone Triage Nurse
The Ambulatory Telephone Triage Nurse plays a crucial role in providing timely and efficient healthcare support to patients by telephone. The Telephone triage nurse provides timely and accurate assessment of a patient’s symptoms and utilizes critical thinking, nursing judgement, and approved decision support tools to provide appropriate nursing advice and determine the level of care required.

Education
Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program – Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing - Preferred
Experience
1 Year Acute Care Hospital - Preferred
1 Year Ambulatory, triage, or medical office experience - Preferred
1 Year Telephone Triage – Preferred
Certifications/Licenses
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association – Required
Skills
Evenings and weekends may be required
Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making ability
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Able to work well independently
Functions well in a high-stress environment
Sound critical thinking
Effective time management and organization skills
Empathetic with the ability to develop trust with patients
Bilingual in English/Spanish- preferred
Pay
Pay Range: $75.28 - $101.62 Hourly
