RN - After Hours - Weekend Nurse

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate registered nurses committed to creating meaningful experiences for patients and their families. As an After-hours Hospice RN on weeknights, you will serve as the patient advocate, ensuring every patient receives quality care. You will cover on-call hours from 5 pm - 8 am Monday through Thursday, ending Friday morning at 8 am. You will be fully supported by our 24/7 RN-staffed Triage Department and your local hospice team.

This is a salaried, full-time position where you’ll communicate with patients, their families, and the hospice care team to ensure a cohesive plan of care.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for patients to ensure they receive the quality care they deserve.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and the hospice care team to coordinate the plan of care.
  • Provide compassionate, present care to patients and their families during after-hours shifts.

Qualifications

  • A heart to serve patients and families with a passion for providing the best possible care.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse.
  • 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting (hospice experience preferred).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently, and lift at least 80-100 lbs, bearing the weight of an average adult effectively.
