(RN) Weekend On Call (RN-After Hours / Weekend Nurse)

About the role

Join our team as an After-Hours Hospice RN, where your work is more than a job—it’s a calling. This salaried, full-time position covers on-call shifts from 5 PM Friday to 8 AM Monday. You’ll be fully supported by our 24/7 RN-staffed Triage Department and your local hospice team, ensuring every patient and family receives the quality care they deserve. As a patient advocate, you’ll communicate with patients, families, and the hospice care team to create meaningful experiences and uphold our commitment to compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a voice for patients, ensuring they receive the quality care they deserve.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the hospice care team to coordinate the plan of care.
• Provide compassionate, present care to patients and their families during after-hours shifts.
• Advocate for patients while working collaboratively with the hospice team.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting (hospice experience preferred).
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently, and lift at least 80–100 lbs, including assisting with patient mobility.
• A heart to serve patients and families with a passion for providing the best possible care.
