Right of Way Specialist (Land Agent / Easement Acquisition) – Field Based

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Right of Way Specialist (Land Agent / Easement Acquisition) is to acquire and manage easements and rights-of-way for various projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential easement opportunities and negotiate terms with landowners.
• Prepare and present legal documents for easement agreements.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely acquisition of necessary rights-of-way.
• Manage relationships with local government agencies and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., law, environmental science, business).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in land acquisition or easement negotiation.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local zoning laws and regulations.
• Experience working with public utilities and governmental entities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule
