About the role

The Retail Supervisor at Seaside Factory Outlet Center plays a crucial role in leading a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive sales growth. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
  • Act as manager on duty to address customer experience, vendor relationship, or maintenance issues.
  • Partner with the sales leadership team to support action plans and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
  • Perform opening and closing routines including bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interpretation of company directives.
  • Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work.
  • Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
  • Create exceptional in-store customer experiences through demonstrating and modeling selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and elevated product knowledge.
  • Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience.
  • Lead with curiosity and humility, build high-performing teams, influence and inspire with vision and purpose, observe, engage, and connect, strive for operational excellence, and deliver business results.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a retail setting.
  • Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
  • Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience working in a customer-first based retail environment.
