Supervisor - Retail

Position Summary

Aids the management team in the day-to-day operations of the store. Duties include managing store operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, providing leadership, and supporting organizational initiatives.

Essential Functions

• Ensures excellent customer service.
• Provides guidance, training, and professional development to staff.
• Maintains a positive work environment.
• Prepares performance evaluations and work schedules.
• Maintains cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store/department.
• Documents and reports concerns to management.
• Supports the implementation of organizational initiatives.

Skills and Abilities

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Email, internet use, Microsoft Word and Excel).
• CA Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and an insured reliable vehicle.

Other Requirements

• Operates electronic cash register.
• Understands stock, merchandise flow, quotas, cash handling, bank deposit procedures, and sales reports.
• Calculates basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages, etc.) and reads and understands sales reports.
