About the Role
We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Associates greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role involves working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations). This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.
Pay
$15.00 to $19.50 per hour, plus an easily achievable commission structure. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.98 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Actual pay is based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
- Perform non-management open/close procedures.
- Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
- Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle cash and negotiable items per established policies.
- Answer incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
- Complete assigned training and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.

Commission Plan
