About the role
The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of customer service, aligning with US Foods' core values of delivering excellence, minimizing waste, fostering teamwork, encouraging communication, and valuing every individual.
Responsibilities
- Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting US Foods' cultural beliefs.
- Perform sales and cash functions efficiently using POS systems, including scanning, weighing, and reporting discrepancies.
- Manage inventory by replenishing shelves, rotating products, and reporting low stock levels.
- Assist in special events and store operations, such as vendor fairs and inventory processes.
- Operate reach trucks and pallet jacks for moving products and stocking shelves.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software for various tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following safety protocols and cleaning duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
- Minimum one year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency with office equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Desire and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Good common sense and logical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated and adaptable with the capacity to multitask and work independently.
- Flexible to work Monday through Sunday, 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities for extended periods.
