About the role
The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of customer service, embodying the US Foods cultural beliefs of delivering excellence, stopping waste, winning together, speaking up, and valuing each individual.
Responsibilities
- Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting the CHEF’STORE brand.
- Utilize POS systems efficiently, including scanning merchandise, weighing products, and reporting discrepancies.
- Perform cart-to-cart transfers, inspecting products for tampering, and verifying cart contents.
- Work in various departments, including Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply, replenishing stock and rotating products.
- Assist with special events, such as vendor fairs and sales floor resets, and participate in inventory processes.
- Support store opening and closing functions, including checkout and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, reporting safety issues and ensuring proper cleaning routines.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
- One year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Desire and ability to provide exceptional customer service and adaptability to assist others.
- Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency with office equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Physical abilities to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Efficiency in using POS systems and inventory management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy and cash handling experience.

Pay
$16.50 per hour, with a range of $13 - $21 depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time, 30-40 hours per week, with weekend and holiday shifts required.
