Retail Licensed Optician

Essential Responsibilities

• Aid customers in selecting frames, fitting, and dispensing frames.
• Utilize technical information to interpret prescriptions for customers.
• Provide accurate product information about frames, lenses, and services.
• Communicate with lab and optometrist for prescription accuracy.
• Fit and dispense frames and accessories using accurate measurements.
• Analyze and interpret patients' prescriptions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area.
• Ensure customer pricing accuracy.
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies.
• Participate in training and educational activities.
• Maintain license requirements per state guidelines.
• Provide feedback and guidance to apprentice opticians.
• Contribute to the cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and facility.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in optical products, prescriptions, fitting, and dispensing.

Pay

Full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Starting pay may vary based on experience from $24.50 to $36.75 per hour. Incentive pay, wage upgrades, and overtime opportunities are also available.
