Summary

Aids customers in frame selection, fitting, and dispensing frames. Utilizes technical information to interpret prescriptions and assist with optical product and service selection.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in frame and lens selection while maintaining social distancing protocols
• Ensure compliance with cleaning protocols and hygiene practices
• Provide accurate product information about frames, lenses, and services
• Communicate Third-Party insurance benefits to ensure proper frame and lens selection
• Utilize SERVE sales process to identify customer needs and make lens recommendations
• Analyze and interpret patients' prescriptions
• Verify ordered products and make adjustments to optical products
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area
• Accurately price products for retail customers
• Maintain license requirements according to state guidelines
• Provide feedback and guidance to Apprentice Opticians
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies
• Participate in training and educational activities
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and facility
• Complete additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing
• Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in optical products, prescriptions, fitting, and dispensing

Benefits

Competitive pay and benefits package including a minimum starting hourly rate of $27 and a maximum of $40.50 per hour. Incentive pay, wage upgrades, and overtime opportunities are also available.
