Summary

Aids customers in selecting, fitting, and dispensing frames. Utilizes technical information to interpret prescriptions and assist with optical products and services. Works under social distancing requirements and maintains a clean, orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection, ensuring social distancing compliance
• Provide accurate product information and benefits details to customers with third-party insurance
• Communicate with lab and optometrist for prescription accuracy
• Sell, fit, and dispense frames and accessories using accurate measurements and verification
• Analyze and interpret prescriptions, utilizing demonstration tools as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized dispensing area
• Ensure customer pricing accuracy
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies
• Participate in training and educational activities
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing
• Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in optical products, prescriptions, fitting, and dispensing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing, positive professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to support change and adapt to new situations
