About the role
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is looking for an enthusiastic part-time Retail & Community Engagement Manager who is passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. You will work within a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection—from scratch-baked bread and pastries to soups, salads, and sandwiches—all made with honest, whole ingredients.
Schedule
- Typical shifts: Monday–Friday, 11 am–1 pm, plus occasional night shifts.
- All locations closed Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
- Must be available to work peak lunch traffic hours Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Additional hours required during November and December, including weekends and extended hours.
- Must be available to work Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.
- Shifts vary weekly, ranging from 7 am–10 pm, Monday–Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests to the brand.
- Merchandising, daily basket making, stocking shelves, personal shopping assistance, inventory, cleaning, and organization.
- Assist front-of-house restaurant operations when needed.
- Attend and participate in weekly management meetings.
- Organize and lead a team to support the execution of holiday baskets and merchandise.
- Engage local schools in Knead Dough Fundraiser events and provide the Home Office with necessary information and paperwork.
- Host Knead Dough community partnership fundraising events.
- Partner with marketing and home office to host brand-wide events and classes, as well as individual store events.
- Work closely with General Managers, District Leadership, Regional Leadership, and home office to ensure store events are successful, reflect the brand, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Engage and facilitate partnerships with realtors and title companies to drive gift basket and catering sales.
Requirements
- 1+ years of customer service/retail experience.
- Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards.
- Flexible schedule; shifts vary weekly depending on customer traffic and time of year.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
