Restructuring Associate

About the role

Katten, a global Am Law 100 law firm, seeks a highly qualified Associate to join its premier Restructuring Practice in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or New York.

Responsibilities

• Represent secured lenders and/or other creditors in bankruptcy proceedings (including DIP financing and cash collateral use, plans of reorganization and asset dispositions)
• Represent secured lenders and/or other creditors in out-of-court workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, asset dispositions, liability management transactions and assignments for the benefit of creditors

Requirements

• Between 4-6 years of law firm experience
• Specific experience representing secured lenders and/or other creditors in bankruptcy proceedings (including DIP financing and cash collateral use, plans of reorganization and asset dispositions) and out-of-court workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, asset dispositions, liability management transactions and assignments for the benefit of creditors

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing and analytical skills

Pay

The estimated salary range for this role is $225,000 - $420,000. Salary determinations are based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to class and graduation year, job history, and experience within the desired practice area of the selected candidate.
