Key Responsibilities

  • Data Restore & Backup Operations
  • Restore files, user profiles, and mailboxes using backup applications such as NetBackup, Avamar, and Commvault.
  • Work in a Data Center environment to handle tape movement and management to support data restores.
  • Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.
  • Participate in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning.
  • Aid customers with file management, profile standards, and email organization.
  • Apply knowledge of profile and permission structures to support user access and security.
  • Manage ticket resolution in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring timely and effective issue handling.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Create reports on system performance, security incidents, and other key metrics.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless delivery of IT services.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Technical training, relevant certification(s), or degree.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related IT/system administration experience.
  • Technical & Professional Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; quick learner with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to work effectively and independently; strong verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction and documentation; solid technical support skills for complex hardware, software, and system issues.
  • Clearance & Certifications: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph; must be 8570 compliant with a Security+ certification.

Additional Information

  • The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $138,000.
  • This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Travel Required: Less than 10%
  • Telecommuting Options: Onsite Work Location: USA MD Annapolis Junction
