Web Server Administrator - TS/SCI w/Poly

Job Qualifications

• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
• US citizenship required
• Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)

Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

Responsibilities

• Install and configure web server software (e.g., Apache, Nginx, IIS) and related components
• Maintain and upgrade web servers to ensure they are secure and performing optimally
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect web servers from threats and vulnerabilities
• Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of server failure
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to support web application deployments and ensure smooth operation
• Provide support to users and developers for web server-related issues and inquiries
• Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring user satisfaction
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline server management tasks
• Ensure compliance with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) standards and guidelines
• Be available for on-call support outside regular business hours to address urgent issues and ensure continuous operation of web services
