Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned): Achieve financial objectives by monitoring daily sales in comparison to budget, controlling inventory, reviewing store P&L/GL monthly, managing expenses, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when discrepancies arise. Control and monitor purchased inventory through weekly cycle counts and monthly inventoriesDevelop and research plans for continued store growthEnsure store compliance with operational and safety policies and proceduresDaily management of ReStore Staff, including basic HR functions such as: interviewing, hiring, counselling, training, development, and terminationMaintain legal and safety requirements of the storeConsistently provide an exceptional level of both internal and external customer serviceDemonstrate a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with employees, customers, donors, volunteers, HIPs (Homeowners in Progress) and Community Service WorkersEnsure an exceptional meaningful volunteer, customer, donor, HIP and Community Service Worker experienceBe an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers, ensuring the engagement and motivation of othersMaintain a safe and clean environment for employees, volunteers and customersRepresent Habitat in a positive, professional mannerInteract and collaborate with other departments (IT, HR, Volunteer Services, Accounting, etc)Ability to read, count, and accurately complete reports and all end-of-day documentationRegular and reliable job attendanceAdhere to scheduleMaintain a presentable appearance, including ReStore appropriate attireAbility to adhere to Habitats Code of Conduct policies and other policiesValid drivers license and the ability to be insured by Habitats insurance providerHave a personal and reliable vehicle that you can use for business purposes, on occasionHabitat Charlotte Region-related tasks as requested by supervisor Qualifications Knowledge/Skills Required: Experience with MS Office programsBasic math and POS experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsBudget and expense tracking experienceManagement and Customer Service experience (5+ years of management required)Strong leadership skillsBasic HR skillsAbility to multi-taskShow initiativeAbility to support Habitats Mission, Vision and Core Values Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to move merchandise throughout the storeAbility to perform repetitive movements over long periods of timeAbility to lift 50 lbs. with assistanceAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and holidaysAbility to obtain Forklift Certification and operate a forklift on a regular basisAbility to climb steps to Forklift cab Internal Interactions: Habitat Staff External Interactions: CustomersVolunteersHomeownersDonorsCommunity Service Workers Level of Authority: Demonstrate leadership to team members and volunteersOperates under minimal supervisionReports directly to the VP of Retail Operations Estimated Time Commitment: 45 hours / week, Rotating Sunday - Saturday schedule.
