Response Officer I (Overnight) - Enterprise Physical Operations

The Enterprise Physical Operations, Infrastructure, Capital Programs & Real Estate (EPO) department at WashU provides integrated operational, infrastructure, planning, and facility services that support the university’s mission of excellence in education, research, patient care, and community engagement. Responsibilities
- Serves as an unarmed, back-up/assistant to Response Officer II or Lead Officer when responding to life safety and protection of property, and emergency and non-emergency incidents on campus.
- Takes action, or makes notes for follow-up, of any safety and security issues.
- Provides Emergency Management support during larger-scale incidents.
- Patrols the University properties when not on assignment.
- Takes possession of found property, attempting to locate the owner, and securing property according to established procedure.
- Enforces parking regulations and provides support to the Transportation Office as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
- St. Louis Metropolitan Security License - St. Louis City/St. Louis County, St. Louis Metropolitan Security License - within 30 days of hire - St. Louis City/St. Louis County.
- A Class E (MO) or Class D (IL) license and a good driving record are required for this position.
- Obtain and maintain certification for Taser, OC Spray, Collapsible Baton, and Handcuffs.
- Must obtain and maintain a Missouri Class E or Illinois Class D Driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
