Duties And Responsibilities
- Information and assistance to caregivers
- Support and coordinate training for respite program volunteers
- Oversee established respite sites in the region
- Case management for persons 60+
- Outreach to organizations and caregivers
- Promote the Erie County Social Adult Day group respite voucher program
- Aids the NYSCRC Director with gathering and maintaining updated data and files
- Maintain efficient operation and facilitate respite provider training
- Maintain data and files regarding information and assistance and case management
- Provide the NYSCRC Director with support generating respite site records and reports
- Arrange and conduct presentations for visibility of NYSCRC Vouchers, the National Respite Care Provider Training, Respite Registry and Faith Based Respite sites
- Conduct outreach to community groups, faith communities, volunteer organizations, including group presentations and tabling events to raise awareness of programs
- Provides administrative support to NYSCRC Director as required
- Participates in/assists with Faith Based Respite Programs in WNY
- Assists in preparation of newsletters and other outreach to volunteers and partners
- Assists in ongoing program evaluation
Requirements
- Education: Associates Degree, BS or BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: Knowledge of community resources and experience working in volunteerism helpful
- Physical And Mental Requirements: Must be able to work independently as this is a remote position, Strong interpersonal skills necessary, Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills required, Computer skills (MS Office,) Docuware, Microix and strong Excel skills a plus, Work is performed at a desk or personal computer station, Ability to work in multi-cultural situations, Must have reliable transportation – much of work is performed offsite, Ability to work independently
