Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Team Leader and/or Supervisor of Respiratory Care, the Respiratory Care Student (RCS) will serve as a member of the healthcare team by providing assistance with caring for the appropriate patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care, such as electrocardiograms and non‑invasive therapy, as ordered by physicians, following established standards and practices.
- Clean, disinfect, store respiratory therapy equipment, and restock supplies.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited school of respiratory care or have completed the program and will obtain CRT/RRT credential within 180 days of hire.
- Perform delegated tasks and data collection taught and verified during the course of study.
- CRT, RRT, or RPFT certification by NBRC within 180 days of program completion.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
