Respiratory Therapist Extern PRN
Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Team Leader and/or Supervisor of Respiratory Care, the Respiratory Therapist Extern (PRN) will serve as a member of the healthcare team by providing assistance with caring for the appropriate patient population. Responsibilities include providing respiratory care such as electrocardiograms and non‑invasive therapy as ordered by physicians, according to established standards and practices, as well as cleaning, disinfecting, storing respiratory therapy equipment, and restocking supplies.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited school of respiratory care or have completed the program and will obtain CRT/RRT credential within 180 days of hire.
- Ability to perform delegated tasks and data collection taught and verified during the course of study.
- CRT, RRT, or RPFT certification by the NBRC within 180 days upon completion of an accredited program.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
