Role Overview: This position supports respiratory care activities for non-critical patients, including administering aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations. The role involves performing Basic Life Support (BLS), teaching and demonstrating respiratory procedures to patients and families, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Key Responsibilities Administers aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations.Performs Basic Life Support activities.Educates and demonstrates respiratory care procedures to patients and their representatives.Performs equipment cleaning, assembly, setup, and maintenance.Performs non-invasive respiratory procedures under supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. Qualifications & Skills Currently enrolled in an AMA-approved respiratory care program with at least one semester completed; must maintain active student status and submit a letter of recommendation from the Program Director.Completed a student respiratory floor therapy rotation.Required certifications include BLS upon hire and ACLS within 60 days or after second semester of the program.
