Respiratory Tech, PRN

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients.
• Performs Basic Life Support activities.
• Teaches and demonstrates respiratory care procedures to patients and their families.
• Maintains and sets up equipment and supplies.
• Performs non-invasive respiratory care procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an AMA-approved respiratory care program, having completed at least one semester.
• Must maintain active student status and provide a recommendation from the Program Director.
• Completed a student respiratory floor therapy rotation.

Certifications

• BCLS (required upon hire).
• ACLS (required within 60 days of hire or after second semester).
