About the role
MaineHealth Behavioral Health provides transitional residential treatment for adults navigating mental health challenges across 12 programs from York to Belfast. As a Residential Care Worker, you will support residents’ day-to-day activities as they build skills, follow treatment plans, and strengthen community connections that promote recovery and reduce stigma.
Position Highlights
- Shift differentials for evening and weekend shifts
- Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000, paid in accordance with program guidelines
Responsibilities
- Support residents in daily activities and skill-building
- Assist residents in following individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate community connections to promote recovery and reduce stigma
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
Education
High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications
- Current certification as an Active Certified Residential Medication Aide must be obtained within 1 year of hire
- Current certification as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT 1) must be obtained within one year of employment
- Valid Driver’s License preferred
Experience
Experience working in a residential setting preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.87 to $23.75 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
