Residential Care Worker - Full-Time

About the role

This position supports residents in a trauma-informed recovery center for adult women recovering from substance use disorders, including mothers with infants.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily encouragement and support
• Monitor residents’ well-being and document observations
• Administer or oversee medication administration
• Assist with meals, housekeeping, and daily activities
• Respond to emergencies
• Help residents achieve treatment goals
• Transport residents as needed
• Collect urine specimens
• Facilitate educational activities
• Attend staff meetings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in human services, behavioral health, or residential care preferred
• Coursework in social work or a related field is a plus
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professional boundaries
• Valid driver’s license required
• DHS 83 training preferred (can be completed post-hire)

Schedule

Involves working on the 2nd shift, including every other weekend.

Pay

$17.75/hour
