Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Makes observations, documents, and ensures accountability of all residents within the facility and in the community.
- Enforces all rules, responsibilities, and restrictions assigned to residents.
- Provides control and documentation of transactions regarding money, subsistence, medications, first-aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls.
- Aids in managing program services by assisting counselors with resident programming, such as installing electronic monitoring equipment, visiting residents, and conducting alcohol and urine surveillance tests.
- Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections of the premises to maintain residents' health, safety, and accountability.
- Maintains physical plant safety and sanitation standards.
- Keeps up-to-date on procedures and policies outlined in the Statement of Work, Physical Plant, and Operations Manuals.
- Follows emergency drills, life safety, facility sanitation, escape, and unusual occurrence procedures.
Work Schedule
Works the hours necessary to staff the center during a shift schedule that includes 16-24 hours per week, variable as needed, and may include weekends. Accepts reassigned shifts without advanced notice. Attends and participates in required appointments and meetings, which may be scheduled off-site.
Sanitation
Responsible for general housekeeping tasks, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
Qualifications
Possesses a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of paid work experience. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergency situations is required.
