About the role

This entry-level residential re-entry position in social services monitors the custody, security, control, and maintenance of the facility and residents. Due to contractual obligations, applicants must identify as a female for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Residents - Observes, documents, and ensures the accountability of all residents while within the facility and in the community by enforcing all rules, responsibilities, and restrictions. Provides control and documentation of transactions regarding money, subsistence, medications, first-aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls.
• Assists with managing program services - Supports Counselors with resident programming, including installing electronic monitoring equipment, visiting residents in their homes and places of employment, and providing alcohol and urine surveillance testing.
• Monitors Facility - Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections to maintain residents' health, safety, and accountability. Ensures physical plant safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
• Maintains working knowledge and follows all procedures and policies - Outlined in the Statement of Work, Physical Plant, and Operations Manuals. Proficient in emergency drills, life safety, facility sanitation, escapes, and unusual occurrence procedures.
• Work Schedule - In the event of a work stoppage, work the hours necessary to staff the center. Accept reassigned shifts without advanced notice. Attend and participate in all required appointments and meetings, some of which may be off-site.
• Sanitation - Responsible for general housekeeping of the center, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
• Other - Additional duties may be assigned by the Director. Programs operate with the understanding that changes to operating standards, staffing requirements, or qualifications may occur to ensure service quality.

Requirements

• Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergencies.
• One year of paid work experience.

Pay

$22.84 per hour.

Schedule

8-16 hours per week. This is a relief position; hours could increase based on the needs of the center. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends, and holidays (variable as needed).
