About the role
The Renewals Specialist supports the OEM renewal pipeline by coordinating with OEM partners, Account Teams, and Lifecycle Services teams. This role focuses on managing renewal opportunities from identification through quote creation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with OEM programs and pricing.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute assigned OEM renewal opportunities across hardware, software, and services portfolios using Red River's CRM tool.
- Maintain Red River’s CRM and report on a rolling 120-day renewal forecast, ensuring opportunity status, timelines, and data accuracy are consistently updated.
- Collaborate closely with OEM partners, Account Teams, and Lifecycle Services teams to identify upcoming renewals and support renewal strategies.
- Build and deliver renewal quotes in accordance with OEM pricing programs, contractual requirements, and customer entitlements.
- Cook up and deliver renewal quotes in accordance with OEM pricing programs, contractual requirements, and customer entitlements.

- Coordinate with OEM partners to obtain pricing, validate install base information, secure special pricing agreements, and resolve quoting discrepancies.
- Register and track OEM special pricing requests and discount programs to support competitive renewal positioning.
- Ensure renewal opportunities are accurately documented within company systems and adhere to established forecasting and data quality standards.
- Monitor renewal timelines and proactively communicate risks, delays, or escalations to internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on OEM renewal processes, licensing programs, maintenance contracts, and quoting procedures.
- Partner with internal teams to improve renewal workflows, forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
- Aid the broader renewals team with quote requests, OEM engagement, and renewal-related operational activities as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of sales experience in the IT industry.
- Entry and advanced level certifications in OEM training programs.
- 4-year post-secondary degree or equivalent (degree is preferred but not required for position).
Preferred
- 2-5 Years of experience in the IT Sales Industry or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication skills with professional, technically proficient, and proven experience conveying pricing and opportunity details to customers, vendors, and OEM partners.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to connect internal stakeholders to create clear action plans.
- Understanding of all Contract and Compliance protocols.
- Ability to problem solve and proactively coordinate with appropriate stakeholder.
- Ability to be creative and self-motivated.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and provide strong recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively with limited or no supervision.
Essential Elements
- This position is an office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.
- This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
- This position is deadline oriented and although most of the work is completed during normal work hours, occasional work after hours is required to meet important deadlines.
