Job Summary

MongoDB is seeking a Renewal Specialist to join our Renewals Team in the Americas region. The role involves managing the renewal process for MongoDB’s customer base, fostering strong customer relationships, and driving retention outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned customer accounts, ensuring timelines, coordination, and execution to drive strong retention outcomes
  • Engage with customers 120 days in advance to secure timely renewals
  • Prepare renewal quotes and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their usage, needs, and challenges
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and solutions to maximize the value they receive from MongoDB
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to track renewal performance, forecast renewals, and identify at-risk accounts
  • Provide regular updates to the management team on renewal status and key metrics
  • Collaborate closely with the sales, customer success, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to renewals

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales or revenue role within a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Demonstrated experience owning deals or commercial outcomes through close, including renewals, expansions, or contract execution
  • A track record of strong performance against defined targets, metrics, or goals
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse audience, both internally and externally
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple opportunities to be managed at the same time
  • Talent for building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed
  • Prior exposure to database, cloud, and infrastructure technology is a plus
