Volunteer Training and Onboarding Director
- Map onboarding requirements by role, access level, risk, and program responsibility
- Develop orientation, role training, guides, checklists, videos, assessments, and completion records
- Coordinate facilitators, schedules, refreshers, and train-the-trainer sessions
- Ensure safeguarding, privacy, security, accessibility, nondiscrimination, and communication expectations are covered
- Partner with role leaders to keep technical and program materials accurate
- Improve onboarding based on feedback, completion data, and volunteer outcomes
- Maintain version control, source materials, and learning documentation
- Support clear handoffs from recruitment through active service
Qualifications
- Experience in learning and development, instructional design, onboarding, volunteer management, HR, education, or training operations
- Strong curriculum design, facilitation, project management, writing, and organization
- Familiarity with learning platforms, virtual training, assessments, and documentation
- Nonprofit, distributed-team, or youth-program experience is helpful
This is a remote, recurring volunteer leadership role open worldwide. Expect approximately 6–10 hours per month.
