Responsibilities
- Design approved task flows, navigation, forms, feedback, errors, empty states, confirmations, and recovery paths
- Create interactive prototypes that demonstrate behavior across devices and input methods
- Define component states, transitions, microinteractions, keyboard behavior, focus order, and motion alternatives
- Simplify complex tasks and reduce cognitive, language, technology, and accessibility barriers
- Collaborate with UX research, UI, content, product, accessibility, development, and quality volunteers
- Participate in ethical usability reviews and incorporate approved evidence
- Document interaction specifications, edge cases, assumptions, and implementation acceptance criteria
- Avoid manipulative engagement, unnecessary interruptions, inaccessible motion, or unapproved data collection
- Protect all participant and research information
Qualifications
- Experience in interaction, UX, product, service, web, or mobile design
- Strong user flows, prototyping, state modeling, responsive behavior, accessibility, and developer handoff
- Familiarity with keyboard and assistive-technology interactions, mobile patterns, privacy, and youth-centered design
- Portfolio or work samples are helpful
- At least 18 years old and willing to complete screening and confidentiality requirements
