Remote Volunteer Interaction Designer — Student Education Technology
About the role
This remote, skills-based volunteer opportunity supports iLevelUP, an education initiative serving students and first-generation learners.
Responsibilities
- Map user journeys for students, families, educators, mentors, and volunteers.
- Design task flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and reusable interface patterns.
- Collaborate with user research, content, accessibility, visual design, product, and engineering volunteers.
- Simplify complex education and career-readiness information without sacrificing accuracy.
- Document interaction behavior, states, edge cases, and handoff guidance.
- Incorporate usability findings and analytics into design improvements.
- Apply mobile-first, accessible, privacy-aware, and youth-centered design practices.
Requirements
Interaction design, UX design, product design, human-computer interaction, service design, or a related field.
Experience with Figma or comparable prototyping tools is helpful.
Qualifications
