About the role

This is a remote position supporting the VA ESOM contract. The role can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Own the schedule, staffing plan, and deliverable tracking for an assigned platform health team, including CDRL/task order milestone reporting where applicable.
    • Provide status reporting to program leadership and client stakeholders, including risk and issue management.
    • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and staffing needs when work spans multiple sprints or workstreams.
    • Manage vendor and subcontractor coordination for deliverables tied to the team's workstream.
  • Agile / Scrum Facilitation
    • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement) for the assigned platform health team.
    • Partner with Product Owners and the Technical Program Manager to prioritize and groom the team backlog.
    • Track sprint velocity, burndown, and team health metrics; surface trends and risks to program leadership.
    • Identify and remove impediments; escalate cross-team dependencies and blockers as needed.
    • Coordinate with peer Project Managers/Scrum Masters across the Red, Blue, and Green teams to align cadence and manage shared dependencies.
    • Coach team members on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
    • Support change management and release coordination for sprint deliverables in a 24x7 operations environment.
    • Liaise with distributed contractor teams to align intake, dependencies, and code review handoffs.
    • Follow demand through the full lifecycle in ServiceNow SPM, from intake and approval through development, testing, and delivery, ensuring traceability at each stage.
    • Maintain Agile artifacts in ServiceNow (Agile Module / SPM) and produce sprint-level and project-level reporting for program leadership.

Requirements

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I or higher).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or other related discipline (or 8 years of additional relevant experience).
  • 7+ years total relevant experience (can be inclusive of below experience requirements).
  • 4+ years of experience managing software or platform delivery projects, including schedule, deliverables, and staffing ownership.
  • 2+ years of experience facilitating Agile/Scrum ceremonies in a distributed/remote environment.
  • Working knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and the ServiceNow Agile Module (or comparable Agile tooling such as Jira).
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with ServiceNow SPM, including working with Projects, Epics, and Stories.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL service management processes.
  • US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card).
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must meet updated ID requirements for federal credentialing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification.
  • Active federal security clearance or public trust.
  • Experience in a federal IT environment.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • SAFe certification (SSM, SA, or higher).
  • Advanced facilitation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort working across multiple vendor teams and competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Impactful team player who looks to enable the team to the end goal.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $155,000–$175,000 annually. Kentro determines compensation by evaluating current government contracting and commercial market conditions, as well as the role’s specific requirements. Final salary placement within this range will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and security clearance level, where applicable.
