Registered Respiratory Therapist - PRN Nights

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our respiratory care team, primarily on the night shift. PRN role with night shifts from 6pm to 6:30am, requiring 3 shifts over 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation for infants and adults
• Use advanced clinical skills to support procedures like mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide delivery, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary testing
• Serve as a resource within the patient care team, ensuring safe, developmentally appropriate care while adhering to quality standards and regulations
• Participate in rapid response teams and contribute to clinical improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Provide patient and team education
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes
• Support special interventions such as ECMO and sleep studies
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications and skills

• Associate degree from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
• Licenses and certifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT, BLS
• No prior experience required; ability to independently apply clinical expertise
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
