About the role
Provide high-quality, patient-centered peri-operative care, evaluate patients pre-surgery, educate families, and ensure safety through protocols like site verification. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, assess and monitor patient conditions, and respond to emergencies. Maintain thorough documentation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients, prepare them for surgery, assist with procedures, and educate patients and families
- Apply evidence-based practices, participate in surgical protocols, and contribute to workflow improvements through rounding and communication with leadership
- Assess and monitor patient conditions throughout the peri-operative process
- Maintain thorough documentation of all patient interactions and care provided
Qualifications and skills
- RN license with an associate or bachelor's degree
- Minimum 1 year of surgical experience
- Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications (must be obtained within 30 days)
- Pediatric advanced life support (required within 6 months)
