Registered Nurse Supervisor - Emergency Department - Evening/Night Shift

About the Role

The RN Supervisor oversees the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective nursing care, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. They assist in analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating departmental processes while fostering continuous improvement in operational, financial, and clinical aspects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily nursing activities across assigned areas, ensuring safe and efficient patient care.
• Collaborate with clinical and ancillary departments to meet quality, safety, and service excellence goals.
• Monitor patient outcomes and the effectiveness of nursing services.
• Oversee staff performance, providing feedback and identifying training and development needs.
• Support resource management to meet service standards and organizational objectives.
• Manage 24-hour operations and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure staff development in a full-time capacity.

Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical patient care experience.
• Previous supervisory or healthcare management experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Schedule

Typically working five 8-hour days per week.
