Requirements

• Associate’s Degree – Nursing (Required)
• New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire (Required)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in a Same Day Surgery setting
• Registered Nurse licensure (Required)
• ACLS and PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care based on patient needs and clinical standards
• Safely administer medications, treatments, and utilize equipment according to policy
• Advocate for patients while maintaining a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately
• Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery
• Demonstrate professionalism through continuous learning, collaboration, and participation in unit initiatives
