Registered Nurse, RN → Registered Nurse (Full-Time)

About the Role

Staff RN responsible for providing resident care in a skilled nursing facility. The role involves creating a compassionate, cooperative environment to support resident rehabilitation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and deliver care to residents.
• Administer medications and treatments, document appropriately, and monitor resident progress.
• Communicate findings to charge nurses, supervisors, and managers.
• Prepare resident assignments based on needs and staff competencies.
• Ensure timely documentation of ADLs, meal intake, and other records.
• Respond promptly to resident concerns and needs, demonstrating effective interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved nursing program and licensed in good standing in New York State.
• Experience with geriatric or long-term care patients is preferred but not required; new grads are welcome.
• Strong communication skills and a sincere desire to work with elderly, chronically ill, and disabled residents.
• Knowledge of medical, social, psychological needs, infection prevention, and general nursing principles.
