Role Overview
The RRT Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for coordinating and responding to rapid response calls, assessing patients, implementing interventions, and ensuring optimal outcomes. They serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families, addressing clinical, emotional, and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to RRT calls, document interventions
- Develop clinical guidelines
- Monitor patient outcomes
- Analyze data for quality improvement
- Educate staff, patients, and families
Data & Quality Monitoring
- Collect and analyze RRT data
- Identify improvement opportunities
- Implement enhancements based on trends and near-miss events
Professional Practice
- Model professional nursing
- Mentor peers
- Collaborate with medical staff

- Hold ethical standards and confidentiality
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure
- At least 2 years in critical care
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication, multitasking, and stress management skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and computer use
Certifications

- NIH Stroke Scale
- Additional certifications preferred
