About the role
The RRT Nurse is a registered professional responsible for coordinating and delivering rapid response team assessments and interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. They respond to RRT calls, assess patients, develop care plans, document interventions, and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
The role involves monitoring and analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities, developing clinical guidelines, and educating staff, patients, and families. The nurse serves as a professional role model, mentors peers, supports performance improvement, and maintains confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Respond to RRT calls and perform rapid patient assessments
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Document interventions and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and analyze clinical data to identify improvement opportunities
- Develop and update clinical guidelines
- Educate staff, patients, and families on clinical best practices
- Serve as a professional role model and mentor peers
- Support performance improvement initiatives
- Adhere to organizational policies and clinical standards
Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Georgia RN licensure
- Minimum of two years of critical care experience
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage stress in high-pressure situations
- Computer proficiency
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- National critical care certification (preferred)
